Newport Flood Damage Restoration
The contaminated floodwater soaked the subfloor wood planks requiring extensive drying. Our SERVPRO team hastened to this Newport home in efforts to mitigate the damage and the needed demolition. The water was quickly extracted with portable equipment. The lower portion of wallboard was soaked and deemed non-salvageable. We did what is called a "flood cut" to minimize the material replacement sheetrock, and also to gain access to wall voids to complete the drying process. The Sawzall used by a tech kept a straight line easing the impending hanging of new drywall. The service includes the spraying of an antimicrobial agent to inhibit the growth of mold and to eliminate any remaining pathogens from the contaminated groundwater.
